Scout helped to pioneer the removal of all wood from their boats so that there is no chance of any wood rot on any boat in the Scout range.
Scout also pioneered the Air Assist hull design to increase both safety and fuel efficiency on the range of Scout boats.
Scout also pioneered the reverse shoe box hull/deck design. One of the big problems with conventional boat design is that in rough conditions, water can get between the hull and the deck and into the boat.
The Scout design is designed to keep the water out of the boat, even in rough conditions. This reverse shoebox design prevents water from leaking between the hull and the deck, making your boat safer and drier on the inside.
